Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and his wife Meghan Markle on Sunday made certain revelations during their tell-all interview with US TV host Oprah Winfrey. The couple, who stepped back from royal duties in 2020, told Oprah they “did everything we could” to stay in the royal family. “I’m sad that what’s happened has happened, but I know, and I’m comfortable in knowing that we did everything that we could to make it work,” he told Oprah Winfrey during the two-hour CBS spot.

“Oh my god, we just did everything we could to protect them,” Meghan added.

During the interview, Meghan revealed about having suicidal thoughts and how isolating it was to be a part of the royal family. She told Harry because “I knew that if I didn’t say it, that I would do it — and I just didn’t want to be alive anymore.”

She also said that there were some people in the family who were worried about his son Archie’s skin colour even before he was born.

During their conversation, the couple talked about their relationship with the family and how Prince Charles stopped taking Harry’s call after their announcement to step from the royal duties. He added that thing were getting back to normal with his father now. He also talked about his brother Prince Williams and said that their relationship was experiencing some “space” at the moment.

Harry and Meghan announced in January 2020 that they were stepping back from royal duties and moved to California. Buckingham Palace announced earlier this month that the couple had permanently quit. The couple is expecting their second child and during the show announced that it was a girl.
