“We won Georgia” Donald Trump said on Saturday in his first public
rally since election ahead of Georgia Senate runoffs in January.

Donald Trump addressed his supporters at the rally, where
he made a lengthy speech to shore up support for the Republican candidates in
the fray.

“We won Georgia, just so you know. We won Florida, and we won
a lot of other places,” Trump said to a cheering crowd at the rally held in Valdosta
city.

Trump was joined by first lady Melania Trump, who gave a
short speech before the president’s.

The former reality show star was campaigning in Georgia on
behalf of two Republican Senate candidates facing a hugely important runoff on
January 5.

 Earlier in the day,
Trump had called Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, pressuring him to
convince state legislators to overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s win in
the state, according to reports.

Biden won Georgia by just under 12,000 votes, becoming the first Democratic presidential candidate since Bill Clinton in 1992 to win the Republican stronghold.

During his  address, Trump spoke about the border wall and immigrant influx in the
country as well.

Despite surging cases of Covid-19 nationwide, few masks
could be seen at the rally and many in the crowd were not abiding by
social-distancing measures.

The runoff races will decide which party controls the US
Senate, and Trump continued his fear-mongering about rival Democrats.

“The voters of Georgia will determine which party runs
every committee, writes every piece of legislation, controls every single
taxpayer dollar,” he said.

“Very simply, you will decide whether your children
will grow up in a socialist country or whether they will grow up in a free
country.”

Trump also played a video during the rally showing Congresswoman
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Senator Elizabeth Warren and many other detractors of
the Trump politics to gather support for the Republic contenders.

The video shot in a classic agit-prop style depicted
carefully edited snippets of violence against Trump supporters, including one
that occurred during a MAGA rally in November near the White House.
