After two people were hurt in a shooting at around 2 p.m., Walmart employees in Grafton told a reporter from 12 News on the scene that the business is letting staff go for the day.
It was confirmed by the Marion County 911 communications center that the shooting-related car chase came to an end at about 2:22 p.m.
One victim was taken to Grafton City Hospital before perhaps being flown for additional care, according to a 911 supervisor who stated the event was first reported at 1:57 p.m. The other injured victim had already been flown by HealthNet. The injured were transported by Marion County and Grafton EMS teams.

There are still very few details available, including the number of injured victims and the severity of their injuries.
The Grafton Police Department, Grafton Fire Department, Marion County EMS, West Virginia State Police, Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, and Taylor County EMS were among the several agencies who responded to the incident.
At 2:50 p.m., the Marion County Winfield District Volunteer Fire Department announced on Facebook that East Grafton Road will be restricted to traffic from Bradley Drive to Glady Creek Road until further notice. They advised people to avoid the area. According to the post, the closure would remain for two to three hours.
