Actor Chrissy Teigen on Wednesday opened up about being ‘cancelled’ after the backlash on her tweets about Courtney Stodden. In a lengthy Instagram post, Teigen opened up about how she was feeling.
“Iiiii don%u2019t really know what to say here…just feels so weird to pretend nothing happened in this online world but feel like utter shit in real life. Going outside sucks and doesn%u2019t feel right, being at home alone with my mind makes my depressed head race,” she wrote in the caption.

The 35-year-old also said that she felt lost and knew that the way she is handling the situation is not the right answer. Teigen said that she needs to snap out of it and find her place again.
“I do know that however I%u2019m handling this now isn%u2019t the right answer. I feel lost and need to find my place again,I need to snap out of this, I desperately wanna communicate with you guys instead of pretending everything is okay. I%u2019m not used to any other way!!”
“Cancel club is a fascinating thing and I have learned a whollllle lot. Only a few understand it and it%u2019s impossible to know til you%u2019re in it,” Teigen wrote.
The cancel culture refers to the public backlash that follows after a celebrity says something offensive or polarising. People then often boycott the work of that celebrity in a bid to ‘cancel’ the artist.

Teigen admitted that she had done something wrong and that it was hard to talk about it.
“It%u2019s hard to talk about it in that sense because obviously you sound whiney when you%u2019ve clearly done something wrong. It just sucks. There is no winning. But there never is here anyhow. All I know is I love you guys, I miss you guys, and I just needed an honest moment with you because I%u2019m just…tired of being sick with myself all day. I don%u2019t even know if it%u2019s good to say any of this because it%u2019s gonna get brutally picked apart but I dunno. I can%u2019t do this silent shit anymore! If you or someone you know has also been cancelled please let me know if there is a cancel club reunion because I could use some time off my couch! Thank u and goodbye I love u,” Teigen wrote.
