An 18-year-old was detained on Friday and charged with murder in connection with the killing of a man in D.C. earlier this month. The person is identified as Antwain Ulmer.

A warrant for Ulmer’s arrest had been issued in D.C. Superior Court before his apprehension. The Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and the FBI Safe Streets Cross Border Task Force actively collaborated to carry out the arrest, and Ulmer was successfully taken into custody on Friday.

Antwain Ulmer is 18 years old. He is a resident of Cheverly, Maryland. The 18-year-old is facing serious charges of premeditated first-degree murder while armed in connection with the killing of Charles Sullivan, a 30-year-old resident of Northeast D.C.

The D.C. police responded to reports of gunfire in the 700 block of Kenilworth Avenue NE on July 9 at around 12:25 a.m. When they arrived on the scene, they found Southeast Washington resident Charles Sullivan, 30, dead. He had tragically died from bullet wounds. The occurrence led the police to launch an early inquiry to ascertain the shooting’s specifics and identify those at fault.

Ulmer decided to forego his right to a hearing before extradition, according to a department press release. He was consequently swiftly brought into District custody.
