Kellie May Xiong Chauvin is the ex-wife of the former Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin, they were married for 10 years. Kellie filed for divorce mere days after George Floyd was killed in the custody of the former police officer. She insisted in court that she doesn%u2019t want a penny from her ex-husband.

Chauvin%u2019s now ex-wife Kellie separated from her husband on May 28, 2020, when he was accused of killing Floyd by kneeling on his neck. Derek and three other Minneapolis Police Department officers killed Floyd brutally during the nine-minute arrest.

Kellie competed and won the Mrs. Minessota beauty pageant in 2018, becoming the first Hmong woman to hold the title. She is a realtor, currently unemployed, and has two children from another relationship. Kellie disclosed in a filing that she is fully capable to support herself, the divorce was finalized in February 2021.

Meanwhile, Chauvin is currently under police custody and has already been charged with third-degree manslaughter. He was found guilty on all counts and is set to be sentenced Friday to a potentially lengthy prison stay.
