Ella Emhoff, the stepdaughter of Kamala Harris, came under fire from Republican congressman Jeff Van Drew for sending a link to a fundraiser for the children of Gaza. The 24-year-old’s Instagram post with a link to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund has helped the nonprofit raise approximately $8 million. Americans started the fund to help the youth in the besieged area, where youngsters make up about half of the population.

Rep. Van Drew (R-NJ), however, countered that Hamas might use any money donated. He referred to the terrorist attack carried out by Hamas on October 7, which claimed 1,400 Israeli lives and led to counterattacks.
