A man has been taken into custody following a shooting incident that happened on Wednesday night in north Phoenix. The incident claimed the life of one individual. The 23-year-old Ignacio Alvarez has been arrested in connection to the case.

Who is Ignacio Alvarez?
Ignacio Alvarez is 23 years old. He has been arrested by the police after he reportedly admitted to his involvement in the shooting which killed one individual.
According to the police, Ignacio Alvarez allegedly confessed to being engaged in the shooting, leading to his arrest at the site. He was then taken into custody and lodged in the Maricopa County jail on suspicion of second-degree murder. Detectives are aggressively looking into the events that led up to the shooting in an effort to learn more and determine what happened before the tragedy. The investigation will support the ongoing court cases related to the case.

Police officers responded to a distress call at an apartment complex close to 51st Avenue and Thunderbird Road on Wednesday shortly after 6 o’clock. They arrived to find Sixto Gomez-Zurito, 23, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken right away to a hospital close by, but sadly he eventually died as a result of his wounds.
Meanwhile, another shooting incident occurred in the city of Manhattan. The incident claimed the life of a 12-year-old boy.
In response to a reported shooting at 35 Fessenden Street, law enforcement officers were dispatched just after 2 p.m. City officials acknowledged during a following press conference that authorities had found a victim at the location with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

The victim’s identity has not been made public. The person received immediate medical care while being quickly taken to a hospital. Tragically, the victim’s injuries led to his death despite medical intervention. The investigation into the case is still underway.
