Jessica Marie Hann, a transgender individual formerly known as Jason Michael Hann, who was sentenced to death in 2014 for murdering her two babies, is now set to receive taxpayer-funded breast implants while in prison.
Who is Jessica Marie Hann?
Jessica Marie Hann, previously Jason Michael Hann, gained notoriety for the brutal murders of her 10-week-old daughter, Montana, and her two-month-old son, Jason, in 2001 and 1999, respectively. The authorities discovered their decomposed bodies in storage units located in Arkansas and Arizona, leading to her conviction for their killings.
After being held on death row at San Quentin, Jessica Marie Hann was transferred to the Central California Women’s Facility when she began identifying as a woman. Following an order by California Governor Gavin Newsom to halt the death penalty in the state, Hann was moved into the general prison population. Now, reports indicate that she is awaiting a taxpayer-subsidized breast augmentation procedure.

The horrific discovery of her daughter Montana’s remains in a Tupperware container, abandoned in a storage facility in Arkansas, shocked the nation. Mann and her partner Krissy Werntz kept Montana’s remains underneath their bed in a trailer they were living in at the time. Subsequently, they rented a storage unit to store the trailer, leading to the grim find by the buyer after the rent went unpaid.
The investigations also revealed severe abuse inflicted on Michael, Jessica’s one-month-old son, who was found with multiple fractures, including thirteen rib fractures and fractures in his legs, knees, and ankle, as well as a brain bleed due to violent shaking.
In April 2002, deputies found the remains of Jason in another storage unit in Lake Havasu, Arizona, packed in plastic trash bags and wrapped in air fresheners. An autopsy revealed a fractured rib consistent with being grabbed and shaken.

In separate trials, Jessica Marie Hann received a 27 to 30-year prison sentence for her son’s death and the death penalty for killing Montana and leaving her remains in a storage unit. Her partner Krissy Werntz was sentenced to 15 years to life for their daughter’s murder but was not charged in connection to their son’s death.
During the trial, Werntz claimed she was under significant duress during their relationship, stating that Hann had threatened to kill her if she went to the police. Both Hann and Werntz are held at the California Women’s Facility, with Werntz being granted a move after Hann was allowed into the general population.
