Who is Jorge Diaz Vega?

Jorge Diaz Vega is a 26-year-old former Walt Disney World employee. Up until his recent detention, he worked at the Star Wars souvenir shop located inside Disney World’s Hollywood Studios theme park in Florida. He acknowledged recording more than 500 upskirt recordings of female guests during a six-year period.

On March 31, he was detained after a witness saw him taking an upskirt video of an 18-year-old woman. The former employee was caught on camera filming the teenager who was wearing a black dress with black shorts underneath. The victim and her fiancé were shopping for lightsabers at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, where the incident occurred. The woman later admitted to not knowing about Vega’s actions to security officers.

Authorities said that throughout the interrogation, Vega admitted that watching pictures is a “guilty pleasure” and showed them numerous examples on his mobile. “Diaz admitted he has been taking videos up the dresses/skirts of unknown females in the Disney World theme parks for approximately six years,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in an arrest report.

Vega is currently accused of one count of video voyeurism, a third-degree felony that carries a maximum five-year jail sentence. He was freed after posting a $2,500 bail. There is no mention of Vega’s legal counsel in the court records, and no working phone number has been discovered.
