Who is Kenneth V. James?

Kenneth V. James is 26 years old. Officers were called to a probable drive-by shooting in Moncrief on Saturday, July 15, according to media sources. When they arrived, they discovered one male who had been shot multiple times.

Law enforcement was first made aware of the incident after many 911 calls and the activation of a ShotSpotter device were made. Unfortunately, the individual lost his life as a result of his injuries.

Officers discovered the lifeless corpse of an unnamed guy, believed to be in his 20s or 30s when they arrived at the site.

“Detectives with the homicide unit and crime scene investigated the scene and completed their respective investigations,” the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office stated in a statement. A cell phone and many 9mm expended casings were found during the investigation. Following a comprehensive investigation by detectives and a review of all the evidence, a suspect was discovered.

James was already jailed for the September 9, 2023, shooting death of a 19-year-old male in the Fairfax area. An adult guy was found lying on the road close to 4200 Melrose Ave. at roughly 2:00 p.m., according to the JSO arrest report.
