Romanos is set to face three felony charges, including altering/destroying a human corpse, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence. San Antonio police stated that video evidence obtained through forensics shows Romanos at the scene of the crime on the night of the murders. She was observed leaving in a black truck and later returning home with Christopher and his father, Ramon Preciado.
Previously, Christopher and Ramon Preciado were arrested and charged in connection with the case. Christopher faces capital murder charges, and his father was charged with abuse of a corpse for allegedly assisting in moving the bodies. The arrest of Myrta Romanos came after investigators discovered online information indicating a potential third person’s involvement.
According to police statements, Romanos played a role in attempting to conceal the bodies and tampering with evidence related to the murders. She identified the gun used in the killings as her own, leading to her arrest. Investigators dismissed Christopher Preciado’s account of accidental deaths during a struggle, stating that the wounds did not align with his version of events.

Savannah Soto was scheduled to be induced for labor just two days after going missing, and her remains, along with Guerra’s, were discovered in Guerra’s Kia Optima on December 26. Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales emphasized that, under Texas law, an unborn child is considered a person, potentially leading to an additional capital murder charge for Christopher Preciado for the death of the unborn child, Fabian. The investigation continues as authorities work to bring the case to trial.
