Peter Neal,
25, is Naomi Biden’s husband. Naomi Biden is United States President Joe Biden’s
eldest grandchild. Peter and Naomi married in a ceremony
on the White House’s South Lawn
on Saturday, November 20. This was the first major
White House wedding of the Biden presidency and also the first wedding ceremony
at the White House
since President George W Bush organised a wedding reception
for his daughter Jenna in June 2008 after she married Henry Hager.

Who is Peter Neal?

Born on
April 17, 1997 in Los Angeles, California, Peter Neal’s family moved to Jackson
Hole, Wyoming when he was very young. Neal attended the Jackson Hole Community
School and later went on to join the Burke Mountain Academy, a prep school for
ski racers.

Neal’s
association with the White House began in May 2015 when he started working
there as an intern. Later, he worked for Hillary Clinton’s electoral campaign ‘Hillary
for America’ as a finance intern for nearly four months from May 2016 to
November 2016.

Peter Neal
has two siblings – Eliot Neal and Betsy Neal. A third sibling, Willie Neal, died
aged 19 in a roller skiing accident. In his honour, the Neal family later
established the Willie Neal Environmental Awareness Fund.

Peter Neal
graduated from George Washington University in 2018 with a major in political
communications and a minor in journalism and mass communication. He graduated magna
cum laude and then went on to study at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law
School. He graduated law school early this year.

Peter Neal’s mother, is the author of two books: To Heaven and Back: A Doctor’s
