Police hunting for a woman who went missing while walking a nature route announced they had discovered a female’s body.

Rachel Morin, 37, disappeared last night after claiming to be going for a walk on Bel Air’s Ma and Pa Trail. She was last seen around six o’clock. According to police, a woman’s body was discovered today at 1:07 pm on the trail.

People were advised to keep an eye out for any sightings of her after she vanished, which prompted a significant police hunt. According to an earlier police update, her vehicle was discovered abandoned at the start of a nature walk.

A representative for the sheriff’s office just this morning stated that the hunt for Rachel was “very active” and that anyone with information should phone detectives. However, the police later added terrible news to their Facebook post.

Harford County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook, “Update #2. At approximately 1.07pm, a female was located deceased off of the Ma and Pa Trail in Bel Air. The identity of the victim, as well as the cause, and manner of death are still under investigation. We ask that, since this is still a very active and ongoing investigation, please refrain from posting any details you may know (or guess) on this post. We want answers as much as you do! Thank you!”

The Williams Street entry to the nature trail was where Rachel’s car was discovered abandoned earlier today, the previous police update said. She was described as being around 5-feet-2 inches tall, 107 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black sports bra, gray sneakers, black Spandex shorts, and a blue or black tank top, according to the police.
