President Joe Biden came under fire from Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) for his failure to negotiate a cease-fire and the de-escalation of long-standing regional tensions, and she held him responsible for the horrific hospital explosion in Gaza.
A rocket targeted a Gaza hospital on Tuesday, killing hundreds of civilian patients and Palestinian medical staff, according to reports. Tlaib, who is well-known for flying the Palestinian flag outside her congressional office and who has a sizable Palestinian-American community in her Michigan area, retweeted a social media message by SMU professor Omar Sulemein shortly after this unfortunate incident. The post held Israel accountable for the bombing.

Rashida in her tweet said, “Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that. @POTUS this is what happens when you refuse to facilitate a ceasefire & help de-escalate. Your war and destruction only approach has opened my eyes and many Palestinian Americans and Muslims Americans like me. We will remember where you stood.”
After Rashida made the headlines with her statements, several people were interested in her personal life.
