The orthopedic surgeon who was shot dead by a patient is identified as Dr. Benjamin Mauck.

Who was Dr. Benjamin Mauck?

Dr. Benjamin Mauck’s field of specialty was concentrated on performing surgeries relating to the elbow, hand, and wrist, as mentioned in his profile on the Campbell Clinic website. In August 2012, he joined the clinic’s staff. The University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic served as Dr. Mauck’s residency site after he completed his undergraduate studies at Lambuth University and the University of Tennessee-Memphis.

The Collierville Police Department has identified Larry Pickens, a 29-year-old patient from Memphis, as the alleged gunman responsible for the targeted attack on Dr. Benjamin Mauck at Campbell Clinic Orthopedics in Collierville. Pickens has reportedly been charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault in connection with the event, according to Major David Townsend’s update on Nextdoor.
