The grieving mother of a 14-year-old schoolgirl who tragically took her own life while in her father’s embrace has criticized those responsible for her daughter’s suffering. Stacie, the mother of Jaylee Chillson, expressed her profound dismay at the bullies who excluded her daughter from sports teams, subjected her to hurtful taunts, and deliberately ignored her.

Who was Jaylee Chillson Stacie?

Jaylee died on September 16 when she is believed to have run away from home to attend a party in Aurora, Kansas.

After her parents called police to escort her home, the 14-year-old pulled out a gun and shot herself in front of ‘multiple partygoers.’

Jaylee’s decision to shoot herself came after years of abuse from her peers, Stacie wrote, as she claimed that even the bullies’ parents piled on as the abuse escalated.

In a strongly worded Facebook post, Stacie condemned the individuals who tormented her child, asserting that some of them were feigning sadness over the heartbreaking incident, despite having relentlessly targeted Jaylee for years. She wrote, “I’m filled with anger toward those who caused my child pain. I’m incensed by those I know were responsible for her suffering and are now pretending as if they had no role in her emotional distress.”

After the tragic incident, Jaylee’s devastated father, Jeb Chillson, recounted how he found his daughter at the party and held her in his arms as she passed away. Stacie revealed that she had read numerous hurtful messages from Jaylee’s so-called ‘friends’ who had treated her terribly. She also witnessed Jaylee being excluded from girls’ sports teams and observed adults at the school repeatedly failing to support her.

Stacie further noted how former close friends of Jaylee completely disregarded her presence when she walked by them, and how some parents, who had previously praised her daughter and considered her remarkable, turned to using derogatory language and speaking negatively about her to their own children.

Stacie emphasized that only her family and Jaylee’s therapist truly understood the profound challenges her daughter had faced during the past year. She made a heartfelt plea that those who were aware they had contributed to the problem refrain from using her daughter’s name, asserting that they do not deserve to do so.
