After her debut solo trip abroad as the US First
Lady, Jill Biden landed in a hospital creating a frenzy among the public. But
what is the truth behind her hospital trip and what exactly happened has not
been clear, until now.

The First Lady had gone to Japan to lead an
Olympic delegation to the Tokyo Olympics. When she returned to the United
States, she went to Hawaii to support a pro-vaccination campaign.

Speaking at the Waipahu High School, Biden warned
that COVID-19 is now “more contagious than ever.”

“I am here to ask everyone listening right
now, to choose to get vaccinated,” the List quoted Biden as saying. She
also participated in an event with military families in Honolulu.

But why
did Jill Biden land in a hospital?

The First Lady went to the Walter Reed National
Military Medical Center in Maryland after her Hawaii trip because of a foot
injury that she got due to stepping on an object on a Hawaii Beach, the People
reported.

The White House confirmed the report and said
that her husband President Joe Biden would be by her side for the medical
treatment.

“Last weekend, prior to her two official
events in Hawaii, the First Lady stepped on an object on the beach which became
lodged in her left foot,”  Michael
LaRosa, the spokesperson of the First Lady, said in a statement.

LaRosa confirmed that the item lodged in her foot
would be removed, with her husband, President Biden, by her side.
