Harris tells her grand niece that she “could be President, just not now.”

She adds, “to be a President, you have to be over the age of 35.”

To Harris’ reply, the toddler quips, “Yeah, but I can be an astronaut president.”

Harris, who launched a failed Presidential bid in 2019, before dropping out, was ultimately picked as a running mate by Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden.

While several countries like Sri Lanka, India, England, Bangladesh, New Zealand and others have all elected a female representative to lead the country in the capacity of a Prime Minister or President; the United States, the world’s oldest democracy, is yet to elect a woman representative for the highest office in the land.

Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, had launched an unsuccessful campaign bid in 2016, ultimately losing to Republican candidate Donald Trump.
