Wantaway Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has reiterated his desire to play in the Champions League and “win trophies season in, season out”, all but confirming his plans to leave the club at the end of the season.

The England international has been heavily linked with a move away from the North London outfit, and it was reported last week tht he has told the club he wants to leave. Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are all rumoured to be lining up a possible swoop for the 27-year-old.

Kane has been integral to Spurs’ recent sucess, consistently finishing in a Champions League position while reaching the final of the showpiece European event in 2019. However, he is yet to win a major title with the club.

And with Spurs missing out on Champions League football for a second consecutive, Kane said he does not want any “regrets” at the end of his career.

In an interview with Gary Neville on his YouTube channel, ‘The Overlap’, Kane said “I want to play the Champions League. I’m not desperate to do anything. I want to be playing in the biggest games.”

“I don’t want to come to the end of my career and have any regrets. I want to be the best I can be.”

The Englishman is leading the
scoring and assits charts in the Premier League goals this seaon, with 22 goals
and 13 assists. Overall, he has scored 220 goals in 335 appearances in all
competitions, becoming one of the all-time Tottenham and Premier League greats
in the process.

However,
Kane said he can do even better, and ultimately aims to match the standards set
by Crisitano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi over the years.

“I’ve
still got so much more to give. I can produce better numbers than I’m producing
at the moment.”

“I’m
not afraid to say, ‘I want to be the best’. I want to try and get on the level
Ronaldo and Messi got to. That’s my ultimate goal – to be winning trophies
season in, season out, scoring 50, 60, 70 goals season in, season out.”

“The
pressure from myself is always bigger than anything anyone else can put on
me.”

Kane also opened up about his relationship with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, whos is known to be a tough negotiator and is under no pressure to sell his prized asset, who has three years left on his contract.

“He’s been great with me. He’s always rewarded me with contracts. I signed a four, five-year deal when I was 21 but I did well and he added to that. So he’s been fair with me, we’ve always had a good relationship.”

But you don’t know what the chairman’s thinking – he might want to sell me. He might be thinking, ‘if I can get £100m for you then why not?’ I’m not going to be worth that for the next two or three years.

“I’ve given the club 16 years of my life, so I hope we can have a good, honest conversation and see where we’re at.”
