According to the BBC’s annual report, Huw Edwards has moved up to fourth place on the list of the organization’s highest-paid celebrities.
The News at Ten host received a £25,000 wage increase last year after receiving praise for his work in anchoring coverage of the Queen’s passing and funeral last September.

As a result, he received a salary totaling £439,000 annually, surpassing Radio 5 Live’s Stephen Nolan, who saw his income reduced by £15,000 to £400,000.
According to the recently released BBC annual report, Gary Lineker continues to earn the most at £1.35 million, followed by Radio 2’s Zoe Ball at £980,000–£984,999. Neither was given a pay raise last year.
Third spot went to Alan Shearer, whose Match of the Day commentator income had decreased marginally to £445,000-£449,999.

Edwards came in at fourth on the list becoming the corporation’s highest paid newsreader and earning £435,000, up from £410,000 the previous year.
Fiona Bruce, who hosts Question Time, is one of the other women on the list. Her income is £395,000, which is $15,000 less than it was a year ago. Her compensation for hosting Antiques Roadshow, which is not covered by the license fee, is not included in this, though.
The average pay for the top 10 on-air earners is significantly lower than it was the previous year. This year, a significant number of the high earners earn less than £400,000, compared to 2021–2022, when the bulk of the high earners made more than £400,000.
