Intensifying the tensions in the Middle East, the Israeli army launched artillery towards Lebanon on Monday in response to rocket fire from the neighbouring country that failed to hit the Jewish state.
“Six rockets were just fired from Lebanon toward northern Israel, all of which fell inside Lebanon,” tweeted the Israel Defense Forces, moreover, adding, “in response, our artillery forces fired toward the sources of the launches.”

Although, according to inputs from a Lebanese military source given to AFP, only three rockets were fired from southern Lebanon towards Israel.

“Three Grad-type rockets were fired from the Shebaa Farms area,” not far from the Israeli border, AFP reported, adding that Israel responded with artillery fire.
