The  Kentucky Derby 2022 will be the 148th running of the race. It will take place on Saturday 7 May, 2022, at Churchill Downs Louisville. Kentucky Derby arena is scheduled, the race is open to 20 horses, Each horse has its own rank for Saturday’s 148th race. who qualified for the race by
earning points on the 2022 Road to the Kentucky Derby.

The Kentucky Derby gets the ‘Race of Roses’ nickname from a special prize given out to the winner. Since around the time the race began, in 1883, this has remained a firm tradition. Winners of the derby get a bouquet of 564 red roses at the end of the race.
