Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. will return to practice five weeks after being shot multiple times during a carjacking incident in September. The 23-year-old footballer’s return was confirmed by the Commanders in an announcement on Wednesday.
Commanders coach Ron Rivera had said on Monday that Brian Robinson might make his debut this Sunday against the Titans. Accordingly, after his return to practice was confirmed officially, the team is hopeful that he will start the match against Titans.

Robinson was shot twice in his lower body during an attempted carjacking incident, the AP had reported. He was taken to a nearby hospital where it was declared that the injuries were non-serious.
However, the running had to stay out of the field and was put on the non-football injuries list on September 1. As a result, the running back could not make his debut in the first four games of the season.
He came out of the hospital in a few days, and AP reported that he was on the road to recovery. His recovery is now complete and the 23-year-old will be joining his team’s practice this week.
Robinson started his NFL career with the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Alabama University football team. He staked up impressive stats during his stay with the Tides with 14 touchdowns and 1,343 rushing yards.

Since joining the Washington Commanders, there were a lot of expectations for the running back. However, due to the gunshot injuries right before the season opener, the fans had to miss watching him lead the Commanders attack along with J.D. McKissic and Antonio Gibson.
The Commanders are currently 26th in the NFL in scoring and 21st in rushing. With Robinson back, these numbers are expected to go up as the season moves forward.
