Nick Cannon, after being fired by ViacomCBS in July 2020, over some of his comments during an interview with Public Enemy rapper Professor
Griff that were apparently anti-Semitic, has officially been
reinstated and is set to return as ‘Wild ‘N Out’ show’s host, as per various media
reports.
Reportedly, the media entity has agreed to Cannon’s return to
‘Wild ‘N Out’, a sketch comedy show he designed in 2005.

Reportedly, after his release from the company, the rapper
and television presenter met leaders from the Jewish community in an attempt to
educate himself as well as make amends with the group.
The dispute between Cannon and ViacomCBS took place after
Griff appeared during an episode of Cannon’s Class – a podcast conducted by the
presenter – where the host made a controversial comment commonly perceived to
be anti-Semitic.
“It’s never hate speech, you can’t be anti-Semitic when we
are the Semitic people. When we are the same people who they want to be. That’s
our birthright. We are the true Hebrews.”
“The people who don’t have (melanin) … are a little less … so
they’re acting out of fear, they’re acting out of low self-esteem. They’re
acting out of a deficiency, so therefore they only way that they can act is
evil. They have to rob, steal, rape, kill and fight in order to survive … so
then these people that didn’t have what we have — and when I say we, I mean the
melaninated people — they had to be savages. They had to be barbaric … so
they’re the ones that are actually closer to animals. They are the true savages”,
Cannon was quoted as saying at the time.

After the video went viral, ViacomCBS
took instant action, firing him almost instantly.
In times following the incident, Cannon took to social
media, scribing an 1500-odd word long Facebook post in defence of his actions
and further accusing the media conglomerate of pushing him out of the business
prospect, demanding he be given control of his ‘billion dollar brand’.
