Former Australia spinner Shane Warne, who is known to have redefined spin bowling, died of a suspected heart attack in Thailand on Friday evening. He was 52.
Warne’s management released a statement “the reason could be a suspected heart attack.”

“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” the statement said.
“The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”

Warne, since making his debut in 1992, played 145 Tests for Australia, picking up 708 wickets. In his 194 ODI appearances, Warne Pared 293 scalps.

Following his death, several cricketers took to social media to pay tributes to the Aussie legend.
“Cannot believe it. One of the greatest spinners, the man who made spin cool, superstar Shane Warne is no more. Life is very fragile, but this is very difficult to fathom. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and fans all around the world,” Virender Sehwag tweeted.
“Just heard the devastating news about legendary Shane Warne passing away. No words to describe how shocked & sad i am. What a legend. What a man. What a cricketer,” Shoaib Akhtar tweeted.

Shane Warne family –
Shane Warne was married to Simone Callahan from 1995–2005 and the couple has three children – Jackson Warne, Summer Warne, Brooke Warne.
He had previously spoken about raising his children as a single parent.
“I always made their lunches, walked them to school, took them to sport, etc. It was bloody hard – being a single parent is difficult, but fun too. I’m so glad they are 19, 21 and 23 now,” he said, Daily Mail reported.
