Former One Direction star and songwriter Liam Payne is now engaged to the Texan model Maya Henry. 26-year-old Liam proposed with a 3 million pound diamond ring, which Maya was spotted wearing in London Thursday night, reported website Mail Online.

Daily Mail quoting a source reported that the couple enjoyed a romantic evening at Mayfair’s glamorous Novikov restaurant.

A close source of the couple said that “the couple were very happy together” and dispelled rumours of them going separate ways. The 20-year-old Maya is the daughter of personal injury lawyer Thomas J. Henry.

Mail Online also added that Liam had proposed during the lockdown and the news of the engagement has only emerged in the public sphere now. The source also stated that the couple had been taking some time off from social media and had been enjoying each other’s company away from the spotlight.

Liam and Maya were spotted together in June when the couple joined the Black Lives Matter Protests in London. Tatler reported that since the lifting of restrictions the couple has been stopped together on numerous occasions in London.

Liam and Maya went public with their relationship in 2019 and have been sharing images of each other from their respective social media handles.

Payne also shares a three-year-old son with singer Cheryl, with whom he split in 2018.

Payne is believed to be on good terms with Cheryl and the former One Direction singer had praised Cheryl on Mother’s Day in March. The two started dating in 2016 and got separated in 2018.
