In a shocking turn of events on Wednesday afternoon, a stabbing incident unfolded inside Hagey Hall at the University of Waterloo in southern Ontario. According to the regional police service, three individuals were rushed to the hospital, while one suspect was apprehended.

Const. Brad Hickey of the Waterloo Regional Police Service confirmed that the victims had sustained physical injuries, with the extent yet to be determined. As authorities continue to clear buildings and ensure public safety, an increased police presence has been established on campus.

The university promptly canceled any classes scheduled for Hagey Hall in the evening, while other campus operations remained unaffected. The incident has raised concerns about campus security and access control, prompting discussions on safety measures moving forward.
