UK Prime Minister Borris
Johnson is predicted to alert British legislators about two fold surges in
COVID-19 death in the second wave of virus outbreak, expected to hit Europe in
winters.

“In this country alas, as
across much of Europe, the virus is spreading even faster than the reasonable
worst-case scenario of our scientific advisers whose models suggest that unless
we act we could see deaths in this country running at several thousand a day. A
peak of mortality alas far bigger than the one we saw in April,” AFP quotes Johnson
as saying.

According to Downing Street,
PM Johnson who had been attending the issue of rapid increase in coronavirus
transmission across England from a long time is expected to bring up the same
in his coming parliamentary address

Reports also suggest that PM
may cite four week lockdown to be the last resort and ‘only alternative’ at
hand to convince MPs to backup his concerns regarding the virus spread in the
country.

“Stringent measures would be
imposed across England with closure of restaurants, gyms, pubs non-essential
shops and religious places” said PM Johnson during a Downing Street conference

New restrictions however, are
still due for debate in Parliament on Wednesday and will be imposed from
Thursday to the till the start of December.

For those criticizing Johnson
for delaying the much needed lockdown, PM will give reasons to explain why he
tried to use every option at his disposal before putting the country into a
shutdown.
