Jim Miller knocked out Nikolas Motta at UFC Vegas 48 in less than two rounds to score his 23rd career win inside the octagon. The win ties him with Donald Cerrone for the most all-time victories in the promotion.

Miller (34-16 MMA, 23-15 UFC) finished Motta (12-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) in their lightweight bout at the 1:58 mark of Round 2. The American MMA star landed a sour punch and followed it up with some nasty shots on the ground for the TKO.
Miller felt as if the fight could actually have been stopped a little earlier.
“It feels great. I’m a little bit annoyed at the moment because I felt like it was a little bit of a late stoppage. He took a few more shots than he needed to,” Miller said after his win.

“I knew I’d be able to land some leg kicks on him. I kept going to that jab initially. I just went in. I’ve got 39 fights. Some of the best that have ever done this, they don’t fight like I do. Who else at the later end of their career is knocking dudes out?” he added.
Miller further said that he wants to stick around at least gets the chance to compete at UFC 300 after previously fighting at both UFC 100 and UFC 200.
“I’ve got UFC 300 in my [mind]. That’s where I’m going,” he said.
After the fight, he admitted his training camp was difficult due to injuries and family time.

“There’s been a lot on my plate, but my goal has been to fight as hard as I can for as long as I can,” Miller said.
Motta delivered a hard right hook within the first minute and looked sharp initially. However, Miller maintained composure and tagged some leg kicks. It was the second round when the American picked up. He lunged at Motta with a clean right hook to the chin that floored his opponent.
