Robert Lewandowski and Kylian Mbappe were seen sharing a light moment after the France vs Poland FIFA World Cup 2022 round of 16 game on Sunday. The Polish striker whispered something in the Frenchman’s ears and both burst out in laughter.

France beat Poland 3-1 and will play the winner of England vs Senegal in the quarterfinal.
After Lewandowski was seen whispering in Mbappe’s ears, fans wondered what could the conversation be about.

“Lewandowski: Come to Barcelona. Mbappe: I’ll think about it,” a Twitter user said.
“Lewandowski: come to Barcelona. Mbappe: No I want Champions league football,” another one added.
“You are lucky,” commented another user.
Lewandowski was seen saying something in Lionel Messi’s ears too after Poland vs Argentina group stage match.
Sunday’s round of 16 encounter was the 17th between the two European countries. Overall, France stays ahead of Poland having won nine, lost three and drawn five of those matches. Both France and Poland qualified to the knockouts of the event despite losing their final group stage encounters to Tunisia and Argentina respectively.
Mbappe, who won the young player award in the 2018 World Cup in Russia scored a brace in France’s 3-1 victory over Poland. The brace takes his World Cup goal tally to 9, thus overtaking Cristiano Ronaldo and Diego Maradona’s tally of eight goals and matching Lionel Messi’s record of nine that he achieved over 16 years.

The win sees France qualify to the quarter-final where they meet the winner of the contest between England and Senegal. The defending champion will play the quarter-final encounter on 11 December at 12.30 am.
