Los Angeles residents were handed a shock on Monday when an unknown suspect stabbed another person inside the premises of a Panorama City hospital. The hospital was locked down soon after the stabbing as law enforcement officers conducted a search throughout the hospital for the assailant and any other victim. However, the suspect managed to flee.

The Mission Community Hospital has issued a statement since the incident, saying the victim did not know the attacker. Meanwhile, the victim is an employee of the hospital and the incident took place outside one of the hospital buildings but inside the premises of the Mission Community Hospital.

The Mission Community Hospital is situated in the 14800 block of Roscoe Boulevard in Panorama City, a neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, United States. The hospital is open for all 24 hours and the stabbing incident took place around 6:41 pm on September 19 evening.

The hospital is situated opposite of Trickrens Online Shop and Villa Roscoe.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers received a report of a stabbing around 6:41 pm on Monday evening. Apart from the law enforcement, firefighters also responded to the scene and transported the victim to a trauma center. At the time of transportation, the victim was stable, however, no further update has been shared regarding the victim’s health since then.

Authorities are currently looking for an unknown suspect, believed to be the one behind the stabbing incident at the hospital. As per the police, the suspect is a Latino male between the ages of 40-50 and has a height of 5 feet 7 inches and looks like 140 pounds. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a black hoodie along with a black shirt, black hat and was seen carrying a black backpack.
