On Sunday evening, 35-year-old Michael Beaton lost his life in an attack on Drumfrochar Road near a primary school in Greenock. A murder inquiry has been launched by Police Scotland, who reported that Beaton was first struck by a light-colored vehicle before being attacked with a bladed weapon. The incident unfolded around 7:20 pm, and despite efforts to save him, Beaton succumbed to his injuries a few hours later at Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
