Itai and Hadas Berdichevsky, both 30 years old, lost their lives defending their home from Hamas terrorists who broke in.

The couple, residing in Kfar Gaza, a kibbutz in southern Israel, situated just three miles east of Gaza, paid the ultimate price for their bravery. However, their quick thinking and determination ensured the safety of their 10-month-old twins, who were hidden in a bomb shelter.

The horrifying attack unfolded when the terrorists stormed the Berdichevsky’s home. Despite the peril they faced, the young parents managed to place their infants in the bomb shelter before attempting to fend off the intruders. Tragically, their efforts were in vain, and the couple lost their lives during the confrontation.

Israeli troops arrived on the scene approximately 14 hours later, discovering the twins unharmed and safe in the bomb shelter. The infants were then entrusted to their grandmother, who will undoubtedly provide them with the love and care they need in the absence of their heroic parents.
