A footage of the incident was posted to TikTok. The video shows the woman searching her phone in her purse at a Spencer store in Sunrise Mall, California. The caption of the video that has more than 2.3 million views read: “Karen really pulled this at Spencer’s. R@sism alive and well.”

“Can you call it, because she won’t let us call it?” the wife of the black man asked the Spencer store employee.

“Yeah, what’s the phone number?” the worker replied.

The lady then starts the given her number by saying “9-1-6.” But soon she stopped herself and started accusing the black man of  hiding her phone by swiping it.

Well, he could’ve turned off the ringer,” she said.

“Oh my God!” the wife of the accused man replied. “What, do you want him to get f**king naked, lady?”

The Spencer employee tries his best to resolve the situation.

The accused black man then emptied his pockets

I just stuck it right here, you walked right behind me and you took it,” the lady said.

“I did not take it,” the black man replied.

The Spencer employee then offered his phone to the lady, to ring her missing device. The phone was found stashed away in her own purse.

Is it in your purse, ma’am?” the wife of the accused thief asked as the cell phone rang loudly.

“I am sorry,” the lady replied. “I apologize.”

“F**k off, no you’re not” the woman with the black man replied.

The man wrote Wednesday on his account, @yenom_teg,“The whole situation was funny to me lol.”
