Who is Sue Barrett?
Sue Barrett is a dance instructor. She is 20 years younger than her husband. Not much is known about Barrett as she has stayed out of the limelight even though Goodman was in the limelight. Whenever she was referred to in a conversation, Goodman always spoke fondly of her. He referred to her as “My Wonderful Sue.”
The couple has been dating each other for 10 years before their wedding in 2012. Goodman once told Daily Mail: “I knew I’d found the woman I wanted to be with for the rest of my life so why not get married? I’ve said before I’m selfish and that doesn’t equate well for marriage, but My Wonderful Sue got that out of me. I’ve become totally unselfish and I think that’s because it’s true love.”

Only close ceremonies were invited to their surprise marriage ceremony, according to The Telegraph. The attendees of the ceremony were just told it was a “quiet Sunday lunch”. Goodman said: “I wanted it to be a low-key affair, so we didn’t tell anyone except my 96-year-old mum as I didn’t want her having a heart attack with the surprise.”
Before his sad demise, Goodman spent his retirement days with Sue, at their home in Kent. They ran their own ballroom dancing school.
