As Cyclone Tauktae hit India’s financial capital Mumbai on Monday, it brought thousands of lives to a standstill. Amidst the rain and gusty winds, a woman was seen making a narrow escape as a tree got uprooted and fell right in front of her, ANI reported.
In a CCTV footage shared by the news agency, the woman can be seen initially standing on the road with an umbrella. Later, as she realised that a tree was about to fall, she was captured making a narrow escape amid heavy winds. She managed to move just in time, as the tree fell right after she ran off.

The video has garnered over 40,000 views and numerous comments that deemed the woman very lucky, as she showed an example of sheer presence of mind, running off from the tree right in time.

The “extremely severe” cyclonic storm made its landfall on Monday, killing at least six people in Maharashtra and seven in Gujarat, reports PTI. The storm weakened on Tuesday from extremely to very severe.

Maharashtra’s capital city was hit by heavy winds with speed crossing 110 kilometres per hour, leaving no option for authorities but to shut the airport and Bandra-Worli sea link for hours.
