The ICC World Test Championship started on August 1, 2019 with the Ashes series. The final of the tournament’s inaugural edition will be played at the
Rose Bowl in Southampton from June 18 to June 22.

The championship came into existance nearly a decade after it was approved by
the ICC in 2010. There were cancelled attempts
to start the championship in 2013 and 2017.

Rohit Sharma finished as India’s second highest run scorer. He has scored 1,030 runs in 11 matches with a high score of 212 and has bagged 4 centuries and 2 half centuries. He has a strike
rate of 64.49 and an average of 64.37.

Virat Kohli:

Skipper Virat Kohli takes the third place having scored 877 runs in 14
matches. With a high score of 254 (not out), Kohli has a strike rate of 56.11
and an average of 43.85. He has scored 2 centuries and 5 half
centuries.

Cheteshwar Pujara (818 runs in 17
matches)

Rishabh Pant (662 runs in 11 matches)
