Comedian Sugandha Mishra on Thursday was booked for breach of coronavirus restrictions at her wedding with her partner Sanket Bhosale in Jalandhar late last month.
Along with the bride and groom, the owner of the resort and the people attending the marriage have also been booked after the video showing large gatherings at the wedding went viral, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Paramjit Singh.
The case has been registered under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (disobedience to order duly promulgated by Public Servant) and other relevant sections from the Disaster Management Act.
The ceremony took place on April 26.
According to the DSP, no arrests has yet been made as the investigation is still going.
The couple used to feature in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ though they have later left it. Mishra also worked with Sunil Grover in his show ‘Gangs of Filmistaan’, which had gone off air after a couple of months of its release.
