The longest running medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy, is set to amaze fans with
another season. It revolves around the life of Dr Meredith Gray. She started
off as an intern and climbs the ladder to become the chief of general surgery.
While the ratings of the show have dipped in recent years it still enjoys are vast
and loyal fanbase.

Several members of the cast will be returning for the next
season.

Ellen Pompeo

One of television’s most beloved actresses will be returning
in the lead role as Dr Meredith Grey, the head of general surgery at Grey Sloan
Memorial Hospital.

Chandra Wilson

The American actress and director will be back in the shoes
of Dr Miranda Bailey. She was introduced as “The Nazi” to the interns because
of her tough personality in the first season of the show. She is a familiar
face in the series and loses her mother to the coronavirus in the last season.

James Pickens Jr.

The 66-year-old actor will be back to star as Dr Richard
Webber. The recovering alcoholic had an affair with Meredith’s mother in the
past which impacts his relationship with several characters.

Kevin McKidd

The actor portrays the role of Dr Owen Hunt who is the Chief
of Trauma Surgery at the hospital. In season 17, he confronts Teddy about her
affair and ends their engagement. But the couple ends up sleeping with each
other again and get back together.

Kim Raver, Camilla Luddington, Kelly McCreary and Kate Walsh among several others will be
back in their roles for season eighteen.

Season 17 was a roller coaster ride which saw the hospital
dealing with the Covid-19 outbreak. Meredith had a tough time as she caught the
coronavirus, she is seen recovering by the end of the season and ready to take
on new challenges. Maggie and Winston tie the knot in a beach wedding and now,
