Lalit Yadav on Sunday played a match-winning 48-run knock against the Mumbai Indians. The Delhi Capitals defeated the five-time champions by four wickets at the Brabourne Stadium.
Lalit Yadav is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. He plays as an allrounder for the team. He was bought by the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2022 auction.
Lalit Yadav was born in Delhi, India on January 3, 1997. In the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, he made his first-class debut for Delhi. In the 2017–18 Zonal T20 League, he made his Twenty20 debut for Delhi. In the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy, he made his List A debut for Delhi.

Yadav was purchased by the Delhi Capitals in the 2020 IPL auction ahead of the Indian Premier League. He was again purchased by the 2020 finalists at the 2022 auctions in February 2022. The 25-year-old player achieved his first first-class century with 177 runs against Tamil Nadu in the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy the following month.
During a T20 match played at Najafgarh Sports Complex, the young cricketer hit six sixes in an over while playing for a sporting club. The energetic batsman scored 130 runs off 46 balls. The opposition team was stunned by Lalit’s performance.

Lalit Yadav and Axar Patel knock out Mumbai Indians as Delhi Capitals won by four-wicket at the Brabourne Stadium on Sunday.
Capitals were 72 for 5 after 9.4 overs while chasing 178. With only 6.4 overs remaining, Basil Thampi dismissed Shardul Thakur in the 14th over, the target was still 74 runs away. However, in an unbroken sixth-wicket stand of 75 off 30 balls, Lalit and Axar sealed up the game with ten balls to spare. Lalit finished on 48 off 38 balls after a difficult start, while Axar hit 38 off just 17 balls.
