In a Twitter post that earned her the wrath of netizens, Right-wing commentator Ann Coulter on Thursday said that she wanted Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old who shot three people during the Kenosha protests as her president. Kyle was arrested Wednesday and was charged with first-degree intentional homicide for the killing of two protesters and injuring a third.

“I want him as my president,” Coulter tweeted Wednesday in response to a tweet from one of her fan account which read, “I want Kyle Rittenhouse as my bodyguard.” The tweet was removed by Twitter for violating its policies.

The comment was also slammed by Twitterati who called it “insane.” “What the hell is wrong with you? Two people are dead and you’re celebrating? Somebody wasn’t hugged as a child,” asked American comedian Maz Jobrani condemning her tweet.

Political commentator Tucker Carlson and San Francisco Giants player Aubrey Huff also had supported the teenager. While Huff called him ‘national treasure’, Carlson said that the city devolved into anarchy because the authorities abandoned the people.
