Modern Love is all set to return with its second season this year on August 13. On Friday, the Amazon Prime Video released the official trailer of Modern Love season 2 which gave us a glimpse of all the possible aspects of love this season will cover. With a full new starcast and new set of love stories, it is highly anticipated how things will move in this season of Modern Love.

Based on The New York Times column of the same name, Modern Love explores love in several different forms. It includes romantic, sexual, platonic, familial, and self-love, which is beautifully portrayed in eight half-hour episodes.
In an official statement, Amazon said, “In this season, love breaks all the rules. An old flame reignited. A test of friends vs. lovers. A night girl and her day boy. A romance with an ex’s ex. A one-night stand. An impossible promise. A ghost of a lost lover. An exploration of sexuality.”

With the first look, which was released on Friday, here’s what we can expect from Modern Love season 2:
COVID-inspired love story
Kit Harington and Lucy Boynton will find themselves in a tragic yet beautiful love story. The two strangers will apparently meet on a train from Galway to Dublin (before the COVID-19 pandemic). However, after sharing some time together, they will decide to follow old-school romance %u2013 no numbers exchanged. So they decided to meet two weeks later on the same train. But, the pandemic affected their plan. Now it%u2019s thrilling to see how they%u2019ll contact each other.

Exploring sexuality
Gbenga Akinnagbe and Zo� Chao will cast in a surprising love story. In Marquis Rodriguez and Zane Pais%u2019 chapter, the two young men will only remember their first date together. And Grace Edwards and Lulu Wilson will explore their sexuality in an episode where the middle school girl finds herself having feelings for girls.

Unusual connection
The Garrett Hedlund and Anna Paquin%u2019s chapter, will apparently show how an unusual love story will develop in a therapist%u2019s office. A former marine and a housewife will develop a unique relationship after discovering their spouses have a secret affair with each other. Dominique Fishback will fall in love with her best friend, Isaac Powell but will have no idea about how to get out of the friend zone.

Reunion with past love
In the chapter of Minnie Driver and Tom Burke, a woman will stay close to her late husband%u2019s vintage car. But three decades later, she is compelled to make a terrible choice to sell the car which opens a new door in her life. Subsequently, in Tobias Menzies and Sophie Okonedo%u2019s chapter, two parents reignite their old flame after being separated for several years. But, they later discover that one of them is suffering from life-changing medical issues.
