Aren’t ice cream museums the coolest ever? Well, Singapore has one now. The United States ‘Museum of Ice Cream’ has launched its first international outlet on Thursday in Singapore. The place was flooded with visitors, who got a chance for some fun activity after months of strict COVID-19 restrictions, soon after the inauguration, Reuters reported.
The museum asked visitors to book a slot in advance to prevent overcrowding. The outlet, as per Reuters, had free-flow ice cream and a children’s ball pool filled with plastic multi-coloured ice cream sprinkles.
The outlet just like the museum’s America facility is adorned by pink decorative, an ice-cream sprinkles pool and a bouncy castle. The theme chosen for the interiors is pink. A ticket to enjoy the museum visit will cost $ 28 per person.
The place is spread across an area of 60,000 square feet (5,574 sq m) and has strict coronavirus protocols in place. All the visitors and staff have to undergo mandatory check-ins and present either vaccination certificates or negative COVID-19 test to get inside.

Here are some fun pictures from the Singapore outlet posted by social media users.
“We had a lot of fun in the bouncy castle, we were wearing our masks, but bouncing off the calories,” health coach Trudy Sweeney, one of the initial visitors told Reuters.
According to Reuters, The Museum of Ice Cream is planning to expand to more locations soon, the next opening is expected in Austin, Texas, on Saturday.
Pirakash T, Asia Pacific head at Museum of Ice Cream Singapore, said the best part of the opening was to see all the people happy, who saw the outlet as a much-needed break from the pandemic blues.
“It also helps the creative side of your brain, helps you forget about things. So I definitely do think that it is beneficial, allows you to take a break from things that are happening outside,” Reuters quoted Pirakash T as saying.
