Girl Scouts of
Kentuckiana announced a new cookie known as Adventurefuls on Tuesday for the
2022 season.
The new
brownie-inspired cookie was announced with the help of two young Girl Scouts
Lauren and Nadya Yowell, who tried the cookie for the first time at the event
The new cookies according
to an official press release, are “full of indulgent brownie-inspired
flavor with a combination of chocolatey and caramel flavors, and smooth and
crispy textures, for an incredible taste of adventure in every bite.”

The name
Adventurefuls, according to Maggie Elder, CEO of Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana, is
meant to convey the spirit of adventure that the organisation provides for
girls.
“The name means to
me that you can learn so many life skills with Girl Scouts that it’s just
amazing that you can go on adventures and learn about the history of it,” Nadya
said.
Lauren remarked that
apart from loving the cookie, the name itself had significant meaning for her.
“Girl Scouts has
given me many adventures outside of camp, such as zip lining, caving, going on
trips and doing acts of community service. Nine years of Girl Scouts had taught
me that I love adventure,” Lauren said.

In
2022, Adventurefuls will join the national cookie lineup, among classics like
Thin Mints and Caramel deLites. The new chocolaty treats will be available
nationwide throughout Girl Scout cookie season, which runs from January to
April, but dates may vary depending on where you live. Sign up at girlscoutcookies.org
