The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday filed a chargesheet in a drugs case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead at his Mumbai flat last year. The chargesheet was submitted in a special court in Mumbai and names 33 accused.

“Chargesheet names 33 accused and includes statements of 200 witnesses. More than 12,000 pages in hard copy and about 50,000 pages in digital format submitted in were court today,” news agency quoted NCB as saying

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra apartment on June 14. The case was initially handled by Mumbai Police but was soon handed over to the CBI, which roped in the NCB and Enforcement Directorate (ED) to probe various related angles.

Several arrests were made in the drugs case, these included that of Rajput’s girlfriend and actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty, who were accused of supplying drugs to Sushant Singh Rajput.

Among those questioned in the case were actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Arjun Rampal and Shraddha Kapur.

Rajput’s father, in his complaint, had accused Rhea Chakraborty of mentally harassing Sushant, blackmailing him, taking hsi money and driving him to suicide. Based on the complaint, the ED is looking into the money-laundering case against Rhea and others. The ED has not made any arrests so far.
