As filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt turned a year older today, his daughter Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram handle to share a special post. The actress posted a series of photos from the birthday celebrations along with a quirky caption.

The post was captioned as, ”73 years young! Happy birthday papa ?☀️.”
In the photographs posted by Alia, one can see Pooja Bhatt along with actor Ranbir Kapoor.The veteran filmmaker is wearing a black tee for the celebration, while Alia, and her beau Ranbir opted for black outfits. Pooja donned a black and white shirt. In the last photo, we can see them posing for a happy selfie.

Alia can also be seen holding birthday balloons, which have “simplicity” and “happy birthday pops” printed on them, and happily posing with her father. Mahesh Bhatt’s wife Soni Razdan and their daughter Shaheen joined the party via a video call.
On the work front, Alia will be seen next in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, starring actors Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The movie, which is being directed by Karan Johar, will release in 2022.
In the film, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan are a part of Ranveer’s family, while Shabana Azmi is a member of Alia Bhatt’s family.

The actress is also a part of Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ with Ranbir, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy. She is gearing up for the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.
Recently, she announced a Bollywood film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Katrina Kaif, which will mark actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar’s return as a director.
