In yet another violent episode in Washington DC, a series of shots were fired on Thursday in what is suspected to be an episode of road rage at 3600 block of Massachusetts Avenue in the northwestern side of the national capital of the United States. The incident, which occurred around 4:30 pm, was reported just three blocks away from the residence of US Vice President Kamala Harris.

The whereabouts of Harris and Second Gentleman of United States Doug Emhoff remain unclear as the two were scheduled to move into the Vice Presidential residence earlier in April, according to The Washington Post.

The second family of the US was temporarily residing in the Blair House while the official residence, located in the Naval Observatory, was undergoing maintenance.

The victim of the shooting, who is yet to be identified publically, did not suffer any substantial physical damage as one of the many bullets grazed the man’s head. Law enforcement officials said that the injury, which was described as non-life-threatening, was treated in a hospital.

The police said they were on the lookout for a woman in a blue coloured coupe with flashy tire rims, which rammed into another vehicle from the side, and led to the violent outburst.

According to The Washington Post, the area is not considered to be a hotbed of crime and has only witnessed one violent incident this year.
