Recently, a video of Congress’ general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra surfaced on Twitter, instantly garnering thousands of views. In the 44-second video, Gandhi is seen dancing happily with a group of tribal women. Congress took to its twitter handle to share this snippet.
Gandhi did a folk dance with the tribal women of Morpirla, a village in Goa. Wearing pink and red sarees, the women are seen carrying decorated pots on their heads, while Gandhi joins them, wearing a red and blue saree ensemble. She is seen trying to match the folk-dance steps with a bright smile on her face. The twitter video currently has 1.6 lakh views and almost a thousand likes.
Gandhi is campaigning for the upcoming elections in Goa. She also took to Instagram and Twitter to share a few pictures with some women of Morpirla. In one of them, she is happily hugging an older woman named Emilia Fernandez, who has a rose in her hand. She captioned the post, “With the strong and confident women of Morpirla. These women have been instrumental in the environmental conservation and preservation of greenery in Goa.” The post has amassed more than 15 thousand likes.

Gandhi has been playing an active role in rallies and has been meeting various local communities. In Morpirla, she spoke at ‘Priyadarshani’, a women’s convention held in Aquem, Goa. She also interacted with tribal communities and shared a live video of it on her YouTube channel. The live video streamed nearly 11 hours ago on YouTube and is still available for viewers to watch.

Her campaign largely focuses on women. Priyanka Gandhi has promised a credit of Rs 1 lakh to women self-help groups in Goa. She further promised to grant 30% reservation in government jobs if the people of Goa vote her party to power in the upcoming election.
