Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez and manager Antonio Conte were involved in a heated altercation in the Serie A game against Roma at the San Siro on Wednesday. The Argentina striker appeared to be disappointed after being substituted, as he kicked a water bottle on his way to the bench. But Conte’s recent post on Instagram suggests that the duo seem to have reconciled as they engage in a parodical boxing round in the training ground with the rest of the team around them.
In the 3-1 win over Roma in Seria A, Martinez was substituted after coming on as a substitute himself, and the Argentinian did not hide his displeasure with the manager’s decision as he kicked a water bottle as he passed the touchline. He came in for injured Alexis Sanchez in the 36th minute during the game. It also prompted a few Inter players in the dugout to immediately duck, although it did not harm anybody.

Conte immediately confronted the forward and reproached his behaviour saying, “Have respect! Who are you angry with? Never react like this again”, according to Sky Sports Italia.
After what seemed like a heated fall-out, Conte’s latest Instagram post from Thursday shows the two engaging in what looks like banter, with the rest of the team also around them. Both Conte and Martinez, all smiles, had boxing gloves on, and both were standing on a boxing ring-like place on a field with ropes around them, while Romelu Lukaku was playing the role of an announcer.

Inter’s assistant Cristian Stellini admitted that Martinez’s substitution was due to him not putting up his best performance, and told they expected the players to perform with commitment despite winning the league, reported Daily Mail.
